Pejabat Ahli Parlimen Subang (PAPS) membantah tindakan Kementerian Dalam Negeri (KDN) yang tidak memperbaharui permit penerbitan akhbar berbahasa Tamil, Makkal Osai.
Tindakan ini bukan sahaja menyekat kebebasan media di negara ini; ia juga membuktikan ketidakadilan Akta Penerbitan dan Percetakan 1984 (Pindaan 1987) yang memaksa penerbit memperbaharui permit penerbitan setiap tahun.
